Oracle 10g includes a comprehensive scheduler (
DBMS_SCHEDULER) to replace and extend the functionality provided by the
DBMS_JOB package. Jobs form the core of the functionality, but there are several other components available.
These jobs need to be disabled on the target server in a one-way replication.
The original job ran on the source & the transactions are recorded in the redo which are sent to the target database via the plog and applied.
To disable on TARGET database perform the following.

alter system set job_queue_processes=0 scope=both;
