Description
Does Dbvisit standby support applications running BLOB and CLOB datatypes?
Solution
Yes, both CLOB and BLOB datatypes are supported with Dbvisit Standby.
There are no limits on the size of data including LONG and CLOB columns. All data types are supported. There are no restrictions.
In fact, with a physical standby database it is the case that most changes to the primary databases are propagated to the standby database, and this using normal propagation. However, some changes are not propagated to the standby database. This is not a Dbvisit Standby constraint, but from Oracle itself.
You can find a definitive list relating to this HERE.
