Description

When creating the DDC file, Dbvisit Standby terminates with Error Code:808 Database in unknown mode.

Solution

This is usually an indication of an Oracle 32 bit installation on a 64bit Windows or Linux environment which is not supported. The solution is to upgrade the Oracle binaries to the 64bit version. Verify this by running :

SQL> select * from v$version;

32-bit

64-bit
