Does Dbvisit Capture All the Data from the Redo Logs?

Question

Does Dbvisit capture all the data from the redo logs?

Answer

The MINE process reads the redo logs in real time gathering all the data that is required. Let's say that you have 100 tables in your database but that you are only interested in replicating 10 of them. MINE will only capture the changes to those 10 tables and put that data in the PLOGs. It 'ignores' the other 90 tables.

Actually, MINE will keep track of some metadata on those other 90 tables just in case they are added to replication in the future. However, it will not capture the DML changes.
