create standby database with rman compressed backups

Hi All,

Is it possible to create a standby database using rman compressed backups via the dbvisit 8.0 gui ?

I know it is possible to create a standby database with rman backups without compression via dbvisit.

The database itself is rather big, and space is limited.

Hello Jasper,

Thanks for the question, by default the backup that is taken for the CSD(Create Standby Database), is an RMAN compressed backup. Please check our DDC reference guide for the parameter RMAN_DBF_BACKUP_TYPE . Below is the reference link.
