By default when creating a new DDC file, the AMM module is disabled for the primary database. This is to ensure the Dbvisit AMM module does not interfere with archive log purging options implemented as part of RMAN backup strategies.
It is however recommended to implement AMM on the Standby side to manage the archived logs after they’ve been applied.
